From this Saturday’s Full Sail Banked Slalom to the Sno-Kona Pond Skim on closing day May 7, events are making a SpringSational comeback to Mt. Hood Meadows. After a two-year pandemic hiatus, Meadows' most anticipated events will be presented with fervor and an invitation to welcome everyone to the mountain during this awesome time of the season.

Monday is the first full day of Spring and it’s also the day that Spring Passes become valid. The Spring Pass provides daily access for the remaining scheduled 40 days of the season - some say the “best” of the season considering skiing and riding in the Spring sunshine, corn “hero” snow, upper mountain cruising and a SpringSational schedule of events.

We had a big slide in the canyon during this week's rain event. It was picked up as seismic activity. Not the biggest we’ve seen, but the debris is totally blocking the way to the runout from the foothills. Patrol will let grooming get started on clearing a path this morning (Friday) after the howitzer mission and routes. We may not be able to open it today, but should be able to on Saturday.
