It is with sadness that we announce the death of a skiing guest at Mt. Hood Meadows this past Sunday. 30 year old Michael Snell of Illinois sustained injuries in a fall Sunday morning shortly after lifts opened. Ski Patrol responded to a report of a ski accident on Four Bowl but it's believed that Snell lost control on Ridge Run, went off the trail and slid down the Four Bowl trail.
Lifesaving attempts to revive Snell at the scene, in transport to the mountain clinic and at the clinic were unsuccessful. Snell was in Oregon for a work project and had been staying in The Dalles.
We extend our condolences to the family and friends of Michael Snell.
