Meadows gears up for nights and the holidays

As snow continues to fall in the Cascades, Mt. Hood Meadows is opening more lifts and unwrapping more terrain in preparation for the holiday season. The Shooting Star lift and terrain opened today, and Hood River Express with lower mountain terrain is expected by the weekend. Meadows currently reports a 40-inch base, which is expected to grow with up to a foot and a half of new snow in the forecast the next few days.

Night Operations Start Saturday!

Meadows will add nights to its operational schedule Saturday, and operate from 9 AM - 9 PM Wednesdays through Sundays, and 9 AM - 4 PM Mondays and Tuesdays. The exception is Christmas Eve (December 24), when lifts close at 4 PM.

Nordic Center open daily for the holiday

The Nordic Center will begin operations Thursday, offering 16.5 KM of set track and skating lanes. Lessons and rentals and will be open 9 AM - 4 PM every day through January 3 before resuming the regular Thursday-through-Monday schedule. Track fees, lessons and rentals can be purchased online in advance.

Our Breakfast with Santa event has returned this season! Join us in Vertical on December 22 and December 23 for a fireside breakfast with Santa, featuring a waffle bar and a yogurt parfait bar. You can even get pictures with jolly ol' Saint Nick! We'll have seatings both days at 8 and 9:15 AM, but Santa likes to plan ahead, so make sure you purchase your tickets online in advance!

Mt. Hood Meadows has restocked the inventory of gift cards which are perfect for those mountain enthusiasts in your life. Meadows PDX is open 9:30 AM - 5:30 PM Wednesdays through Sundays at 1639 NW Northrup Street in Portland (except Christmas and New Year’s Day) to assist in planning your Meadows trip.

Cooper Spur Ski Area Opens Saturday

The Homestead lift will operate from 9 AM - 4 PM every day from December 18 - January 2 at Cooper Spur Ski Area. Cooper offers the most affordable skiing in Oregon:
