Last season, we introduced the Virtual Film Fest as a way to give everyone a chance to show the footage they had filmed throughout the year before the pandemic shutdown. And even though we can't be together for events yet, we wanted to give people the chance to show what an awesome season it has been, so we are bringing back the Virtual Film Fest for its second year!
We want to see your footage of powder days, park laps, sunny groomers or whatever else makes you happy up here at Mt. Hood Meadows! Below is the criteria for the videos. We look forward to seeing what your creative minds submit this year. Make sure to read the info below carefully and submit your film and liability form no later than Friday, April 23.
SUBMISSIONS
Videos must be submitted no later than Friday, April 23 through WeTransfer and sent to marketing@skihood.com. You can also email us at that address with questions. You must fill out a submission form, located here, to enter the film fest.
TIMELINE
Announce on Monday, April 12
Submissions due by Friday, April 23
Top 10 announced and posted on Instagram Tuesday, April 27
Fan favorite voting open on Instagram from April 27 – until April 30 at 8 AM
Winners announced midday Friday, April 30
RULES
Must be shot 100% at Mt. Hood Meadows
Must be 60 seconds or less
Must have rights to the music you use
Must be filmed during our operations – we will not accept any hiking footage
All content must comply with the Meadows Code of Conduct, Responsibility Code and General Safety
Must fill out online liability form
MUSIC
Must have rights to music OR use your own music
JUDGING
Judging will be done by the Mt. Hood Meadows Creative Team
Winners will not solely be judged on skiing/riding ability, but on creativity, cinematography, editing and skier/rider style
In addition to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place, there will also be a Fan Favorite winner decided by you! Like your favorite on Instagram to vote - voting will open April 27 and end April 30 at 8 AM

First Place – $100 Pass Holder Value + video on large TV in Sahale
Second Place – $75 Pass Holder Value
Third place – $50 Pass Holder Value
Fan Favorite – $50 Pass Holder Value + video on large TV in Sahale
Places 5 - 10 will receive $25 Pass Holder Value
