The 5th annual Uphill Challenge will be run August 4 at Mt. Hood Meadows. The 1.2 mile uphill course gains 621 feet in elevation from the base area parking lot to the top of the Stadium Express. All category winners receive a custom branded trophy and the fastest man and woman each receive a $250 cash prize. Registration is $20 in advance ($15 for ages 14 and under).

The summer season officially begins Thursday with Meadows offering scenic chair rides and hiking experiences Thursdays through Sundays through Labor Day. The Stadium chair will run from 10 AM - 4 PM with extended hours until sunset on Saturdays. Meadows offers a full line up of summer special events primarily on Saturdays, and a series of sunset dinners at the Alpenstube mountain side restaurant.

Mt. Hood Meadows has joined with SOLVE and the Snowrider Project to host a mountain cleanup party at Mt. Hood Meadows Saturday, July 21. Those assisting will receive a free scenic chair ride and lunch for their efforts.
