Mt. Hood Meadows Ski Resort has announced it is continuing daily limited operations. With the success of the snow harvesting effort for Sunday’s operations, and a forecast for more snow early this week, the resort intends to continue daily operations from 11 AM - 4 PM.

We're operating our Buttercup lift and a rail park from 11 AM - 4 PM today. The pictures show how we're able to do it. Great job by our mountain team to harvest the parking lot snow and transport it to Buttercup for distribution.

The work is not yet done. After distributing the snow our snowcats will groom the terrain under Buttercup.

Anticipation - the freezing level is taking it’s sweet time dropping. We are expecting snow but it won’t accumulate soon enough for us to prepare for Saturday. Our snow harvesting crews are standing by to move what we can in anticipation of Sunday operations. We will keep you apprised here on this blog and our conditions page as we start accumulating and ultimately transporting snow. What lifts, how much will be open and hours of operation are dependent on the snowfall, and we’ll update as soon as it is determined, most likely by early Saturday afternoon. Mt. Hood Meadows will offer another preview day Sunday, with Buttercup AND EASY RIDER plus a rail park offered from 11 - 4. An early season storm brought lots of moisture to Mt. Hood, with temperatures dropping enough to accumulate 5 inches of new snow this morning. The resort has a base of 13 inches and will harvest parking lot snow to supplemental the preview the day.
Meadows will offer up a Jib Park on Preview Sunday (photo from last weekend).
Snow enthusiasts got some early season turns in this past Preview Weekend! The jib park was "hopping" with freestylers hitting an array of rail features, getting creative on their lines and working out tricks readying for the season.

Columbia Center for the Arts celebrates the coming of winter in the Gorge with The Snow Show in November 2014. Sponsored by Mt Hood Meadows, the show presents how diverse regional artists express their feelings about the winter season. The show runs November 7-30.

Due to the success of the spring park collaboration with Snow Park Technologies (SPT) at the end of last season, Mt. Hood Meadows will leverage the momentum that was established and continue to commit to the success of its terrain park program. Collaboration with SPT during the 2014-2015 season will include the development of a next level park riding experience on Shooting Star.
