Mt. Hood Meadow is your winter wonderland all season long but especially during the holidays. The season is well underway as the resort welcomes more snow heading into the holiday week. Meadows already has a five foot snow depth in the base area and 90 inches at midmountain. And for those dreaming of a white Christmas - the forecast has plenty of snow this week.

Starting today we are trying a new approach that should alleviate some of the evening shuttling we’ve experienced on busy days when we’ve diverted later arriving traffic to our Hood River Meadows parking lot. On those days, we will allow return ski down access back to the HRM lot until 5 PM.

Mt. Hood Meadows Department of Transportation managers have been reengineering the parking experience for the upcoming season.

With the USFS lifting some restrictions on the Mt. Hood National Forest, starting Friday May 29th we will be removing the barriers at the bottom of our access roads to provide for parking at trail heads on those roads.

Mt. Hood Meadows will add nights to its daily operational schedule this week. Thanks to recent snowfall Meadows is moving to its regular schedule for the season, 9 AM - 4 PM Monday and Tuesday and 9 AM - 9 PM Wednesdays through Sundays.
